FPL to Host Free “Power to Save” Event at Little Haiti Cultural Complex

LITTLE HAITI, FL (Le Floridien) — Residents of Little Haiti and the surrounding neighborhoods are encouraged to take part in an exciting and resource-packed community event designed to help them save on energy costs and access essential services.

Florida Power & Light (FPL), in collaboration with its partners, is hosting the “Power to Save” initiative at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex on Wednesday, February 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event is open to the public and aims to provide valuable support to local families looking for practical ways to reduce their energy expenses while connecting with vital community resources.

Attendees will receive free energy efficiency products and services designed to help lower their utility bills. In addition, a Community Resource Fair will be available, offering valuable information and assistance on various local programs and services that can benefit residents.

During the event, FPL energy experts will be on hand to answer questions and schedule appointments to visit customers’ homes for free installation of energy-saving items and personalized tips on how to keep their electricity bills as low as possible. Additionally, local agencies will be present to provide further assistance to those in need, ensuring that residents have access to essential support services.

Further adding to the benefits of this initiative, FPL has partnered with Farm Share to provide free food goods to event participants, available while supplies last.
