PALM BEACH – Dr. Angelo Gousse, a well-known urologist based in Miramar who is affiliated with multiple hospitals in South Florida, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for his Palm Beach County’s new clinic Thursday, Feb. 6.
The new clinic, which is housed in a brand new two-story building at 321 15th Street in West Palm Beach, allows the highly respected physician and philanthropist to expand his clinical services in that region and provide more access to high-quality care for patients and the nearby community.
As the founder of Bladder Health & Reconstructive Urology Institute, Dr. Gousse has built a reputation of excellence for the diagnosis and treatment of urological disorders, including the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer.
The event gathered an audience of approximately 100 guests, including some of Dr. Gousse’s physician colleagues, former residence students, and community leaders.
It started around 7:00pm with Dr. Gousse welcoming the guests. He then passed the microphone to Father Nobert Jean Pierre of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lake Worth, who offered a prayer to bless the new establishment.
Addressing Dr. Gousse personally, the local priest said, “I would like to congratulate you and thank you for who you are. Thank you for the service that you are going to provide to the community. I believe we are going to support and we are going to refer people to your clinic. May God bless all of you.”
Dr. Christopher Hollowell, Gousse’s very first doctor-in-residence at the University of Miami, emceed the night. A brilliant urologist, according to Dr. Gousse, Dr. Hollowell did a great job of making sure the program went smoothly.
The Coral Spring based urologist took some time to share his experience with Dr. Gousse, emphasizing his skills as a trainer. “I am truly grateful for all Dr. Gousse has done for me. He is the most important mentor in my career. I wouldn’t be doing what I am without him,” Dr. Hollowell said.
Dr. Theva Didi, another of Gousse’s fellowship students also expressed gratitude toward the trailblazer in the field of urology. “Dr. Gousse is an extremely well-trained and knowledgeable female pelvic medicine and reconstructive urologist and I am fortunate to have his guidance to learn valuable surgical procedure for my practice moving forward,” Dr. Didi said.
Former North Miami Mayor Josaphat ‘Joe’ Celestin, one of Dr. Gousse’s patients, proudly shared with the audience how the urologist saved what he called his ‘manhood’. As he had been dealing with his prostate issues for twenty years (he had to have a procedure done every six months), and one day while he was in the operating room to have a surgery, three urologists told him that it was over for him because there was nothing they could do anymore. But it was Dr. Gousse who came to his rescue, avoiding having to completely remove his prostate.
Dr. Gousse has been in practice for more than 25 years and provides a range of medical services, including artificial urinary sphincter implants, penile prosthesis implants, urethral reconstruction, overactive bladder treatment, pelvic organ prolapse repairs, urinary tract reconstruction, enlarged prostate treatment, and stress urinary incontinence treatment.
Angelo Gousse, MD, is a premier bladder health physician and nationally renowned reconstructive urologist in South Florida. He has dedicated himself to the highest levels of patient care and medical expertise possible. With this new clinic, there is no doubt that Dr. Gousse will bring quality urology care to patients in Palm Beach County.
