(Le Floridien) — The City of North Miami proudly announced the overwhelming success of the NoMi Music Fest 2024, held the previous day at Cagni Park. This event transformed the park into a vibrant musical oasis, highlighted by the legendary Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant, along with standout performances by Changing Faces, Jekalynn Carr, Trina, and Shirley Murdock. Host Chubb Rock ensured the night was electrifying.
Since its inception as “Music in the Plaza” and its establishment as a 501c3 entity in 2017, the NoMi Music Fest has grown into a significant cultural event, celebrating community spirit and musical heritage. Beyond entertainment, the festival also supports North Miami residents with utility bill assistance.
Mayor Alix Desulme emphasized the festival’s pivotal role in bringing together and energizing the community, highlighting its contributions to cultural festivities and community support. The event attracted notable attendees, including U.S. Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, and various local dignitaries like North Miami Councilmen Pierre Frantz Charles and Scott Galvin, North Miami City Clerk Vanessa Joseph, Miami Gardens Councilman Reggie Leon, City of Opa-locka Mayor John H. Taylor, Jr., further underlining the festival’s significance to the community.
The 2024 NoMi Music Fest attracted hundreds from South Florida, blending music with philanthropy and strengthening community bonds. It promises continued impact on North Miami residents’ lives through its support and sponsorship.
