MIAMI (Le Floridien) — Memorial Day Weekend is one of the few three-day weekends regular folks get to soak up the sun and beer and have a good time in South Florida.

Miami especially likes to go big during this special long-weekend with so many all-night parties and yacht outings to keep residents and tourists busy and bleary-eyed from the moment Friday afternoon arrives to early Tuesday morning.

One of the events, which drew a large crowd in downtown Miami during this past long holiday weekend of celebration was The Best of the Best Music Festival that has been held the last couple of years at Bayfront Park. It is an event for most attendees to exhibit their best skills.

Great music, great food, and perhaps most importantly, great weather highlighted a successful The Best of the Best Music Festival weekend, giving thousands of people plenty to scream about and lose their voices.

The event proved once again to be a huge success. Artists took turns to dish out exciting performances. An estimated 10,000 revelers were in a celebratory mood.

For its 11th edition, The Best of the Best was celebrated with an epic lineup of Caribbean superstars as some of the biggest names in Reggae, Dancehall and Soca joined forces in Miami for the weekend-long festivities. The event also brought together major names in American hip-hop.

The line-up included Jamaican legends such as Mavado, Aidonia, and Konshens, as well as old-school musical masters like Barrington Levy (“Murderer”), and Mad Cobra (“Flex”).

This year, music fans were offered something more than just the concert on Sunday afternoon. The Best of the Best weekend kicked off Friday night with a party at Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines. On Saturday, there was a “I Love the 90s” party at 380 District and on Monday, the “All White Boatride.”

Overall, organizers say things couldn’t have gone much better.

Organizers are already planning for next year’s The Best of the Best Music Festival set for Sunday May 27, 2018.
