PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Stanley Toussaint, the well-known Haitian singer popularly known as “Tantan,” was arrested this week in Palm Beach County on allegations of driving under the influence and traveling at more than 100 miles per hour, according to official court records reviewed by Le Floridien.
Toussaint, a veteran artist widely recognized in the Haitian music community and for his association with the konpa group Lakol, was arrested by the Jupiter Police Department on September 8, 2026. The alleged offenses occurred the previous day, September 7.
Although initial information circulating in the community placed the arrest in West Palm Beach, the official court record identifies Jupiter Police as the arresting agency.
Toussaint faces two criminal traffic charges. The first is driving under the influence with an alleged blood-alcohol level of .15 or higher, under Florida Statute 316.193(4). The second alleges dangerous excessive speeding at 100 mph or more, under Florida Statute 316.1922(1)(b).
The case was filed in Palm Beach County Court under case number 50-2026-CT-011546-AXXX-NB. Police records associated with the case list booking number 2026024576 and incident number 5426003244.
At Toussaint’s first court appearance on September 8, a judge found probable cause to proceed with the case. Court records show that bond was set at $1,000 on the DUI charge, while the excessive-speeding count carried release on recognizance.
The judge also imposed conditions prohibiting Toussaint from consuming alcohol, illegal drugs or nonprescription drugs. He was ordered to undergo random testing once every three weeks, according to the court docket.
His arraignment is scheduled for September 24, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
A criminal probable-cause affidavit was filed with the court on September 8. That document is listed as publicly viewable in the Palm Beach County Clerk’s eCaseView system. Two traffic citations issued by Jupiter Police are also included in the docket.
Stanley “Tantan” Toussaint is well known in the Haitian music community for his work with Lakol and his solo career. News of his arrest is likely to attract widespread attention among Haitian music fans.
No plea or final disposition has been entered. The case remains open, and the charges are allegations. Toussaint is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
